This program will provide information on the importance of a culture of safety and will address common patient safety events that could lead to patient harm. Patient care errors typically result from more than one contributing factor and are often a combination of human and process errors. This program will cover the various types of harm and common error-prone situations. The session will review four patient care, patient safety, and risk management cases. Patient safety and risk management issues, along with The Joint Commission (TJC) National Patient Safety Goals will be addressed.
